School Offer

Introduction

All Central Bedfordshire Local Authority (LA) maintained schools adopt a similar approach to meeting the needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN). They are supported by the LA to ensure that all pupils, regardless of their specific needs, achieve their full potential and make the best possible progress.

Our school provides specialist provision for children who are unable to access mainstream education and who hold a statement for Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We address three of the four areas of need outlined in the SEND Code of Practice.

What is the Local Offer?

The Children and Families Act 2014 introduced a requirement for Local Authorities and schools to publish and regularly review information about the services available for children and young people aged 0-25 with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This is known as the Local Offer.

The purpose of the Local Offer is to enhance choice and transparency for families. It serves as a valuable resource for parents, helping them to understand the range of services and provision available in the local area.
