Remote Learning & LIVE Broadcasting
The pandemic was a challenging time for schools and young people. As a special school, we remained open to our fullest capacity throughout the disruption but as all great schools we took opportunities to innovate our methods of delivery to include remote education and live broadcasting. Staff CPD has ensured that are staff have the skills and confidence to deliver and engage pupils in such ways.
Remote education is not our preferred delivery approach. We know the in school support and curriculum areas get the best outcomes. However, our IT infrastructure has been enhanced and pupil access to tablets and chrome books is now vastly improved. Google educational suite, including google classroom was already actively used within school. Our cloud based resources have been increased and access to web based learning such as Maths watch and Kahoot has increased.

Our bespoke landing page ‘Oak Bank Online’ brings together our remote offer and provides direct links to google drives, Personalised email inbox and google classrooms when logged into the platform with pupil school logins.
In times of large scale closure, the live broadcasting timetables can be updated as necessary.
It is accessible from all wifi enabled devices and we are now able to revert to remote education opportunities during disrupted schooling.
